| About the Ben Hur Drum & Bugle Corps: |
Precision, Pride and Bearing hallmarks of the Ben Hur Drum & Bugle Corps We enjoy keeping the pace of a long and proud heritage. We love the excitement and thrill of marching and playing our hearts out at the many parades in Austin and the surrounding area. We perform in about fifteen parades each year, and the peak parade season runs from May through September.
Annual competition among the thirteen Temples in Texas that have Drum and Bugle Corps is stiff, and because of the vast number of outstanding musicians located in an around Austin, we usually win or finish second at Allstate each year. However, there are a number of Nobles in the Corps who have had no prior musical experience. They usually join the flag unit and make a valuable contribution in that capacity.
We also welcome Nobles that have musical ability but didn't have an opportunity to participate in band when they were in school. We offer on-the-job training to anyone who has a sincere desire to learn. We push pride--pride in the Corps and pride in ourselves.
If you have the spunk to want to give an ultra-performance, we want you. |
