| About the Ben Hur Patrol: |
The Patrol is a marching Unit of the Temple. In addition to advertising Shrinedom by marching or joining in parades that Ben Hur participates in, belonging to the Patrol gives you the opportunity to join others with desire to have fellowship, fun, and communication with masonic brothers in outside activities. We join each other at functions of the Temple: dances, fish fries, and get togethers during the year. We believe in the cause of raising money for the hospitals and supporting Temple Fund raising activities. Working together is good for Freemasonry and the development of a good mason and a good shriner.
Our Patrol Unit sponsors Family Night Dinners during the year and a Christmas Party to get members together. We participate in the Big Ben Birthday Party activities annually.
Membership in the Patrol is $ 15.00 a year beginning in January of each year.
We have three Civil Officers, President, VP, Sec./Tres. and two elected Military officers . Captain ( who appoints a First and Second Lieutenant), and Quartermaster. If you need to exercise and walk, this unit could be the unit for you. Our drills are not long and Competitive Drill is only 8 to 10 minutes in length. We participate with a minimum of 12 drill members consisting of 4 Squads of 3 men each. Come join us for a meeting and visit with us. |
