Model T Club
The purpose of this organization is to bring Shriners together who have a common interest in old cars. We do this by promoting good fellowship, encouraging membership in the Fraternity, following the precepts of Shrinedom, and aiding, and assisting its members.
Ben Hur owns a modified 1922 Model T which was manufacturered the same year as the first Shrine Hospital was built. It is a unique vehicle.
To become a member of the Model T Club you must be a Shriner in good standing. To drive or be a passenger in the Model T you must be tested to insure that you can control the vehicle.
We participate in parades and often show up at Shrine events scheduled by Ben Hur as well as Masonic and public events. Our ladies are welcome at all our functions.
This is one of Ben Hur’s newest clubs and the direction it will take is still being determined by the members of the group. This is a great opportunity for Ben Hur members who have always wanted to experience driving one of the first type of automobiles rolled off the assembly line.
