The Ben Hur Highlanders are a traditional Great Highland bagpipe band consisting of pipers, along with a drum section that includes snare, tenor, and bass.
Members of the Highlanders have won numerous solo and band competition awards, and can be seen performing at parades, Temple functions, and various other Masonic events.
Bagpipes and drum lessons for prospective members are available each month, during stated meetings. Ladies do not attend meetings or practices.
New members can expect to spend approximately $150.00 for their kilt and uniform accessories. Unit members are required to purchase their own instruments, however, training sets of bagpipes are available for use while learning.
Come join the fun and experience the rare opportunity to learn a truly unique instrument and exciting style of music.
